MP3: Tommy Stinson - "Meant To Be"
Depending on what part of the music world you're from you'll either know Tommy Stinson as the bass player from the best band of the '80s - The Replacements, or as the bassist of Axl Rose's current incarnation of Guns N' Roses (for more than ten year now) or maybe not at all. Most probably haven't heard Stinson's work outside of those two bands though which is a shame, especially since his first post-Replacements project Bash & Pop ranks as one of the most underrated bands of the '90s.
Video: Vivian Girls - "Take It As It Comes" (official music video)
Earlier this year Vivian Girls released their third album, Share The Joy, and tonight they're playing live here in Stockholm at Debaser Slussen. A couple of days ago they released an '80s-looking video for their latest single, the '60s girl-group styled "Take It As It Comes". Watch the video below, and if you're in Stockholm tonight, head over to Debaser Slussen to catch the gig - it's free.

Stream: Laura Marling - "Sophia"
Laura Marling is releasing her third record, A Creature I Don't Know, on September 13 via Virgin Records and last night a first track, "Sophia", from the album premiered on Zane Lowe's radio show. Thanks to Listen Before You Buy and One Thirty BPM we've got a radio rip of the track for you below, and you'd do well to give it a listen. I've been excited about this album for quite some time now, considering the quality of her previous releases, and "Sophia" is just as good as I could've hoped for. Listen to it below.

Full album stream: Richard Buckner - Our Blood
As we've previously reported cult singer-songwriter Richard Buckner is set to release his ninth studio album, Our Blood, on August 2 via Merge Records but you can stream the full album already via NPR. Our Blood is Buckner's third studio album on Merge (after 2004's Dents And Shells and 2006's Meadow) and I've just finished my first listen to the album and it's definitely impressive. If you're unfamiliar with Buckner's work the closest references I could give soundwise would be folk singer-songwriter stuff in the Bill Callahan vein - and it's really good. Head over to NPR to give it a listen right now.
Video: Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds - "The Death Of You And Me"
As we've previously reported Noel Gallagher is set to release his debut solo album on October 17/18 via his own Sour Mash Records, and today he premiered the video for the first single from the album - track number four; "The Death Of You And Me". The album will be self-titled with his band Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and it was produced by Noel himself and Dave Sardy (who helmed Oasis' two final albums).
"The Death Of You And Me" will be released as a single on August 21 with the non-album b-side "The Good Rebel", and you can watch the video below. Personally I think it sounds really good.
