On Thursday we posted the news that Reigning Sound would be releasing a brand new mini-lp titled Abdication via Scion A/V in the near future and last night Paste premiered a first track from it; "Lyin' Girl". "Lyin' Girl" is a pretty great track and it has all the qualities you'd hope for in a new Reigning Sound track: great guitar, lyrics about relationships, etc and you can listen to and download it using the widget below, in exchange for an e-mail address.

MP3: Korallreven - "Sa Sa Samoa"
Korallreven's long-awaited debut lp An Album By Korallreven will be released on November 15 via Acéphale and they've already released three tracks from it; "As Young As Yesterday", "Honey Mine" and "The Truest Faith", and today we've got another track from the album for you. "Sa Sa Samoa" is the second track on the record and features vocal contributions from Julianna Barwick. An Album By Korallreven is easily one of the best albums I've heard this year and if you give the tracks made available a listen it should jump right to the top of your "anticipated-list" as well.

Video: Fanzine - "Roman Holiday"
London indie rockers Fanzine released their debut ep back in June and on November 7 they'll releasing a double A-side 7" via Fat Possum. The 7" will contain two brand new tracks; "Roman Holiday" and "My Stupid Brain", and earlier today The Line Of Best Fit premiered the new video for "Roman Holiday". The video is a good watch and features a bunch of retro video clips that accompanies the track very well.
Fanzine are set to be the opening act during Yuck's UK tour in November so if you get the chance make sure to catch them live, and the rest of us will just have to be satisfied with watching the "Roman Holiday" video below.

Reigning Sound announce new mini-lp
Yesterday we posted the new King Khan Experience EP, which was released for free via Scion A/V, and last night Scion A/V announced another release by a great garage rock band. The band in question is Greg Cartwright's Reigning Sound who, in my opinion, are arguably the best garage rock band of the 2000s and will be releasing a mini-lp titled Abdication via Scion A/V.

Stream: Kathleen Edwards - "Sidecar"

Canadian singer-songwriter Kathleen Edwards is releasing her fourth studio album Voyageur on January 17, 2012 via MapleMusic Recordings and last Friday The Line Of Best Fit premiered a second track from the album; "Sidecar", which follows lead track "Change The Sheets" that premiered in September.
"Sidecar" is a great upbeat alt. country track and it certainly shows a lot of promise for the upcoming album. Voyageur is co-produced by Edwards herself and Bon Iver's Justin Vernon, who also features on the record together with Bon Iver drummer S. Carey, Norah Jones, Phil Cook of Megafaun and many others. Edwards is currently opening for Bon Iver on their European tour so check out the tour dates and listen to "Sidecar" below.

The first video from the album premiered yesterday on Blurt and the video in question is for the track "Alabama Pines", one of the standout tracks on a very good album, and it gives the viewer a peek into the life of a touring musician. Video: I Break Horses - "Wired"
Swedish duo I Break Horses released their debut album Hearts to critical acclaim in August this year, and it's surely deserving of the praise, being one of my favourite records of the year. The band released their new video for "Wired" last night on Pitchfork.tv and you can watch it right here.

Download: The King Khan Experience - The King Khan Experience EP
Canadian garage rock showman King Khan returned yesterday with a new ep called The King Khan Experience EP, which was released for free online as part of the "Scion A/V Presents" series. The ep is King Khan's first release since The King Khan & BBQ Show released the Invisible Girl lp in November 2009 and features King Khan returning to his classic garage rock swagger with a touch of psychedelia, and the New York punk of Richard Hell and Television also being clear sonic references.

Sure, Tom Waits' new album Bad As Me have been available to stream online for a week or so now, but only via his website for which you needed a code to access the stream, but it's now available for everyone thanks to NPR's First Listen feature. Bad As Me is just as good as you would've expected from Waits and it's certain to please both old fans and newcomers, being one of the strongest albums released this year.
