Listen: Sun Kil Moon - "Track Number 8"

A week ago I posted "Sunshine In Chicago", the first track from Sun Kil Moon's upcoming fifth studio lp Among The Leaves, and now we've got a second track available. The track in question is called "Track Number 8" (it's actually track number eleven on the lp, but that's Kozelek for you) and it's just as strong "Sunshine In Chicago". Among The Leaves should turn out pretty great. Give "Track Number 8" a listen below.

MP3: CSLSX & I Break Horses - "Violent Sea"

I Break Horses' debut record Hearts was released last year via Bella Union and remain in steady rotation around here. Why? It's fantastic, that's why. Today they released new music for the first since the release of Hearts, in the form of a collaborative track with CSLSX titled "Violent Sea". The track will most likely appear on a forthcoming collaborative EP, but nothing's been made official yet. Give it a listen and a download below, it's great.

Watch: Francis - "Traktor" (official video)

I first posted Francis' "Traktor" back in December and in January it was officially releases as a single with a remix of the track by Simian Ghost as the b-side. Yesterday, when Francis' This Must Be Blood EP was released, the band shared the video for "Traktor" as well. The video is made by Johan Stolpe who's directed videos for The Tallest Man On Earth as well as the video for that excellent Bengtsarvet track I posted in December. Watch the video for "Traktor" below and if you haven't heard This Must Be Blood yet you can stream the full EP over here.

Watch: Girls - "My Ma" (official video)

Girls' Father, Son, Holy Ghost was one of my favourite records of last year and they've now released a video for one of its most touching tracks; "My Ma". The video was directed by Focus Creeps and you can watch it below.

Full album stream: Team Me - To The Treetops!

Team Me's excellent debut record To The Treetops! is one of my favourite records of the year so far, although in truth it was released in Norway last year. The album is now being released internationally via Propeller Recordings, with a European release last week and the UK and the US scheduled for March 5. To The Treetops! is just amazing indie pop record, easily exemplified by the wonderful single "Show Me" which I posted a while back.

Full album stream: Francis - This Must Be Blood EP

The indie rock quartet Francis from Dalarna, Sweden are releasing their new EP This Must Be Blood today via Strangers Candy/Playground Music and it's without a doubt one of the strongest releases of 2012 so far. I've had the privilege to listen to the EP for awhile now and it's been in constant rotation around here for the past two months. It's five songs over 18 minutes of perfectly crafted melodic indie, complete with bittersweet vocals from Petra Mases.

MP3: Gentleman Jesse - "Eat Me Alive"

I must have completed missed this somehow, as it looks like it was announced back in January, but Gentleman Jesse's got a new lp coming out in March. The record is called Leaving Atlanta and will once again be released via Douchemaster Records, with a release date set for March 13. Gentleman Jesse's debut lp Gentleman Jesse & His Men was one of my favourite records of 2008, being full of amazingly catchy power pop-punk in the vein of The Exploding Hearts and the Buzzcocks.
