Back in early January I wrote about YAST's debut single "Believes" which was released in February via Hare Tracks and Adrian Recordings imprint Double Sun. YAST are now set to release a remix single featuring remixes of "Believes" and its b-side "Because Of You", and No Modest Bear premiered the first remix yesterday.
The Swedish Americana/indie rock group Loosegoats, led by singer-songwriter Christian Kjellvander, were originally active from the mid-'90s to the early '00s but they've know reformed properly and got a new album on the way called Ideas For To Travel Down Death's Merry Road. The record will be released on April 18 and you can listen to the first single from the album, "Montananas", below. Sounds great.
I don't know about you but when I hear the name Sansa I immediately think of the character in George R.R. Martin's books and the Game of Thrones tv series but as it turns out there's an excellent Finnish pop artist who goes by the same name. Sansa first came to my attention when "Waiting For The Sky" hit the Internet awhile back and today The Line of Best Fit premiered another track from the album called "Black Brick Wall". Nordic singer-songwrter pop at its best. Give it a listen below.
Sharon Van Etten guested Conan last night to perform her new single "Leonard", which is taken from her new album Tramp which was released on Jagjaguwar last month. Watch the performance below, and if you missed the official video for "Leonard" a few weeks ago you should head over here.
Last month I posted Spiritualized's "Hey Jane", the first single from their upcoming album Sweet Heart Sweet Light, and a couple of days ago a video was unveiled for the track. The video was directed by AG Rojas and it's very good, extremely bleak and very brutal. Definitely NSFW. Watch it below.
Last week I posted The Line of Best Fit's excellent session with Porcelain Raft and today they unveiled a new one; this one with the talented singer-songwriter Simone Felice, who'll be releasing his debut solo record on April 2. Felice performs the cut "Charade" off the new album and delivers a beautifully stripped-down performance. Watch it below.
Last week Way Out West announced the addition of The Concept to the line-up and today they added a whole slew of new acts for the Stay Out West club part of the festival.
