Back in January I posted Badlands' wonderful debut track "Never Dry Out", which is also the first single from their upcoming EP Battles Within, which will be released next Friday via Temporary Secretary. You can listen the full EP now though, and it's great, so make sure to give it a listen below.
Well, chances are you've heard this by now, as it has made the rounds on the internet after being released yesterday, but if not; Yuck have released a new song titled "Chew", via their Soundcloud account. If you had any doubt then don't, it's just as good as everything else they done so far. Another hazy indie rock gem, which may or may not see physical release later on. Give it a listen below.
Little over a month ago I posted "Sing Me A Reprise", the first single from Hip Hatchet's second LP Joy And Better Days, which is out now via Gravitation Records. Joy And Better Days was released yesterday and you can stream the full album, and if you like it (you will - it's great) I suggest you head over to Hip Hatchet's Bandcamp site and buy it.
I assume you've heard Friends' "I'm His Girl"? If not, click that link and listen to it and then head back. Back? Great. Friends have just announced the release of their debut record Manifest! for a June 4 release via Lucky Number Music and they've also shared another single from the album; "Mind Control". "Mind Control" is another wonderful pop tune and you can listen to the radio mix of it below.
The Henry Clay People are back! They're set to release their fourth studio LP on May 26 via TBD Records, following last year's This Is A Desert EP and 2010's Somewhere On The Golden Coast LP. The new album is called 25 For the Rest of Our Lives and you can listen to the first single, and title track, from the album below.
Garage rock act Nobunny is releasing a new 7" EP titled MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL on Record Store Day (that's April 21 if you didn't already know) and we've got on of its five tracks below, thanks to Brooklyn Vegan. The track in question is the one minute and thirteen seconds long fuzzy garage pop track "At The Mall". Give it a listen below.
I've previously posted Spiritualized's "Hey Jane", the lead single from their new album Sweet Heart Sweet Light, which will be released on April 16 via Double Six in the UK and April 17 via Fat Possum in the US. The full album is now available for streaming thanks to NPR's First Listen series, and you'd do well do check it out as it's arguably one of the strongest albums to be released this year.
