The Norwegian act Philco Fiction released their international debut release, the Finally EP, in March and they're set to release their debut album Take It Personal internationally via Something In Construction in July. Take It Personal was released in Norway last fall but Philco Fiction are definitely ready for a larger audience.

Listen: PINS - "Shoot You"

A couple of weeks back I posted "Eleventh Hour", the debut track from Manchester four-piece PINS, and now we've got another track available for. The track in question is called "Shoot You" and it's taken from their debut cassette. Listen below for a dose of garage pop goodness.

Besides GrimesJack White also guested UK television show Later...with Jools Holland last night, and White chose to perform two tracks from his brand new solo debut Blunderbuss. The tracks in question was the single "Sixteen Saltines" as well as "Freedom At 21", and as usual White turned in very good versions of the tracks. Watch both performances below.

Watch: Grimes - "Genesis" (live on Later...with Jools Holland)

Grimes guested the British television show Later...with Jools Holland last night to perform her single "Genesis", and she definitely delivered. Grimes, aka Claire Boucher, turned in a great performance and it sure made the prospect of seeing her live all the more appealing. Watch the Jools Holland performance below, and if you live in Stockholm make sure to catch her live at Kägelbanan on May 23.

Watch: Ty Segall & White Fence - "Time" (Room 205 session)

Ty Segall & White Fence released their collaboration album Hair, an excellent piece of '60s inspired garage rock, yesterday via Drag City, and awhile back they recorded a session at Room 205 and this Monday the final video from the session was released. Watch it below as Ty Segall & White Fence performs Hair opener "Time" live in session, and I doubt you'll find a more '60s-looking video this year. It's great, and I really wish they'd tour around here.

As is their habit, the duo transformed the songs into something else live, this time choosing sparse and slowed down versions of both tracks. Listen to both performances below.

Listen: The Walkmen - "Heaven"

Last week The Walkmen released the title track of their upcoming album Heaven as the first single from the album. "Heaven" is a great little track and it's certainly promising in regards to the full album. Give it a listen below.

Watch: Sansa - "Black Brick Wall" (session)

About a month ago I posted Sansa's "Black Brick Wall", which is taken from the Finnish singer-songwriter's upcoming album Savior, and last week a video of Sansa performing the track in-studio hit the internet. I'm a little late with this, but it makes no differences as the performance is great. Watch it below.

Listen: White Fence - "Green Balloon"

White Fence aka Tim Presley is sure keeping busy lately. With two solo records, Vol. 1 and 2 of his Family Perfume series, a collaboration record with Ty Segall called Hair which is released today (listen to a track here) and a 7" due in May he's likely the most productive guy in the business right now - only rivaled by Ty Segall.

Full album stream: Father John Misty - Fear Fun

I've previously posted two tracks from Father John Misty's upcoming debut album Fear Fun, "Hollywood Cemetery Forever Sings" and "Nancy From Now On", but you can now listen to the full album a week ahead of its release on May 1. "Debut album" isn't exactly the right word though as Father John Misty is the new solo project of former Fleet Foxes drummer J. Tillman, who's previously release several solo records under his own name, although Fear Fun takes Tillman in a different direction than before.

Listen: Barr - "The End Of The Road"

The Swedish quartet Barr will release their second album, Atlantic Ocean Blues, tomorrow via Sakuntala Records/Transubstans Records and ahead of the release we've got a little taste from the record available for you. Atlantic Ocean Blues is an excellent record, channeling the psychedelic country rock sounds of the 1970s, and it's the follow-up to Barr's 2008 debut Skogsbo Is The Place.

The mixtape will feature both reworkings of their own tracks as well as brand new songs and today "Hot Summer", the first track from the mixtape, was released. "Hot Summer" is a reworking of Niki & The Dove's "The Drummer" but here it sounds more like chillwave than anything else. Watch the video for it below (featuring "borrowed footage from incredible surfers").
