The Swedish rapper Elliphant released her third single "Ciant Hear It" earlier this month and yesterday the video for the track was released, plus she was confirmed for this year's Way Out West festival. Check it out below.

MP3: Catherine Irwin - "Mockingbird"


Freakwater leader Catherine Irwin will release her second solo album, with almost a decade since the first, Little Heater on September 18 via Thrill Jockey. Earlier this week the first track from the album was unveiled; the exquisite "Mockingbird" which also features vocals from Will Oldham aka Bonnie 'Prince' Billy. Give it a listen below.

Watch: Thee Attacks - "So Cold" (official video)


I first discovered the Danish '60s garage rock act Thee Attacks when opening for another band here in Stockholm a few years back, and they blew me away with their The Who-inspired sound (so much that I can't ever remember who they were opening for). Now they're back with their second album Dirty Sheets, out on September 24 via Crunchy Frog, and the first single from the album, "So Cold", is available now. Watch: Black Lips - "Noc-A-Homa" (official video)


It's been over a year since the Black Lips released their latest offering Arabia Mountain so it was something of a surprise when they released a new video for "Noc-A-Homa" from it today. Watch it below.

Watch: Stealing Sheep - "Shut Eye" (Topman Ctrl Session)


Stealing Sheep are set to release their debut album Into The Diamond Sun via Heavenly Recordings on September 3 and we've already posted the first two singles from the album; "Shut Eye" and "Genevieve". The Liverpool three-piece have recorded a session with Topman Ctrl which sees the band perform "Shut Eye" in a crypt under London. Watch it below and check out the studio version of the track if you haven't heard it yet.

Watch: Taken By Trees - "Dreams" (official video)


Victoria Bergsman aka Taken By Trees released the first single, "Dreams", from her upcoming third LP Other Worlds, which is due on October 2 via Secretly Canadian, a few weeks back. Yesterday the video for the track was unveiled and it was shot at the Hawaii North Shore in October 2011 by Amanda Marsalis. Watch it below.

Listen: Tame Impala - "Elephant"


A couple of weeks back Tame Impala unveiled "Apocalypse Dreams", the first track from their upcoming second LP Lonerism, and now they've released the first single as well. "Elephant" is another promising track with clear influences from The Beatles and '70s glam rock, and you can check it out below.

Listen: Faye - "Water Against The Rocks" (Museum Of Bellas Artes remix)


Faye's international debut single "Water Against The Rocks" has been a steady feature here at BNF; we've posted the single itself, its video and remixes from HNNY and Dreamtrak. Yesterday a third remix was unveiled, this one by Stockholm pop wonders Museum Of Bellas Artes who completely reinvent the song and make it their own. It's a brilliant rework. Check it out below.

MP3: The Amazing - "Gentle Stream"


Swedish psychedelic roots rock act The Amazing released their second album Gentle Stream last year here in Sweden and on October 23 it'll finally see release in the US as well. The Amazing have signed to the excellent Partisan Records and you can check out the title track from the LP below. Keep your eyes (ears) peeled for the full-length, it's very good - as should be expected when there's members of Dungen involved.

MP3: Will Johnson - "You Will Be Here, Mine"


Centro-matic and South San Gabriel leader Will Johnson is set to release his third solo record Scorpion - his first in eight years - and today Paste premiered the first track from the LP; "You Will Be Here, Mine". Johnson is arguably one of Americas most underrated songwriters and Scorpion will hopefully bring him to the attention of more listeners. Check out "You Will Be Here, Mine" below.

Download: Cloud Nothings - 5 tracks from Live At The Grog Shop


Cloud Nothings are set to release the limited edition live album Live At The Grog Shop on July 30 in Europe via Wichita Recordings. The live LP will be limited to 500 copies on clear vinyl. The LP was recorded on April 5 at The Grog Shop in Cleveland, OH and you can check out five tracks from it below (they've been available since late April).

Last week I posted Manchester act PINS' live session video for new track "You Don't Need To Be", which is taken from an upcoming release on Haus of Pins, and yesterday a session video for 'king DJ's "UVE GON AND DUN IT" was released. 'king DJ is the solo project of Mark Vernon of Brown Brogues and  "UVE GON AND DUN IT" is taken from his debut cassette, which you can order via Haus of Pins. Watch the live session video for the track below, plus listen to the studio version of the track.

Magic Trick, the side-project of The Fresh & Onlys' Tim Cohen, released Ruler Of The Night earlier this year via Hardly Art and today Stereogum premiered the video for "Invisible At Midnight". Watch the Mat Dara-directed clip below.

Listen: The Babies - "Moonlight Mile"


The Woods/Vivian Girls side-project The Babies will be releasing their second LP Our House On The Hill via Woodsist this fall. Today their new single premiered over at Pitchfork; the catchy '60s garage inspired "Moonlight Mile" (which sadly isn't a Rolling Stones cover, but it's still quite great). Check it out below.
