London's Double Denim Records is surely one of the best labels at the moment, and thankfully they seem to be unveiling a new release every few weeks. Now it's time for a double A-side single from UK/US indie pop duo Pandr Eyez with "Physical Education" and "Again And Again", due on November 6. "Again And Again" is available for streaming and download right now and it's very good, something of a mix of classic hip-hop, r'n'b, pop and electro-infused indie pop. Check it out below.
Simian Ghost released their excellent Youth in March via Nomethod Records/Heist Or Hit Records and on the UK version of the release a remix of lead album single "Wolf Girl" was added as a bonus track. "Union" is the second track to be released from the album following the great "New Life", which was released only last week.
Woods are back with their new album Bend Beyond next week via their own Woodsist label, and it's without a doubt one of their best so far. While last year's Sun & Shade was something of a drop in quality (to "regular good" rather than "extraordinary good") Bend Beyond is a fantastic record. Give it a listen yourselves below.
Miami-based producer Between You And Me, aka Jonathan Abramson, will release his new EP Crystal Aquarium on October 22 and the first track from it is available for listening now. Check out "Feast" below.

LA punks FIDLAR were recently signed to Wichita Recordings in the UK (they're on Mom & Pop in the US) for their upcoming debut LP, due in early 2013, and last week they released their new single "Cheap Beer", which is taken from that very album. It's something of a very simplistic and direct take on garage punk, but it's an incredibly fun one. Give it a listen and a download below.

Now they've shared the second single from it; "Ready For The Weekend", which finds the duo in complete dance mode. Or at least on this "club mix" of the track. This week we're starting a collaboration with the acclaimed British site The 405's gig guide, in which we're in charge of the Stockholm section (check it out over here). This week offers up quite a few good gigs with the rock acts showing their strength for once. There's both brand new and established acts to see, and both free and quite expensive gigs. Check it out below.
Tuesday September 11: Jack White + Peggy Sue at Hovet
As always there’s plenty going on in Stockholm this week, and for once it’s actually the biggest show that is looking the most interesting. White Stripes/Raconteurs man Jack White is back in Sweden for his first solo gig, and it’s sure to include White Stripes classics as well as material from his recent solo debut Blunderbuss. Plus Wichita Recordings’ Peggy Sue is opening for him.
Tuesday September 11: Push My Buttons: Yussuf Jerusalem at Vielle Montagne
Stockholm's finest garage rock and garage punk club Push My Buttons offer up the mysterious Frenchman Yussuf Jerusalem for those of you who'd prefer to keep things a bit more low-key than Jack White playing a hockey arena. Fellow French act Le Secte Du Futur is the opening act.
Push My Buttons
Wednesday September 12: Fritz's Corner: Little Gang at Lilla Hotellbaren
As they do every week Fritz's Corner is hosting the Wednesday at Lilla Hotellbaren and this time they've brought Little Gang, the new project of Dag För Dag's Jacob Snavely who will be releasing their debut LP Half Of Everything in October. Free entrance as usual and the band play at nine.
Friday September 14: Omar Rodriquez-Lopez Group at Hornstull Strand
Mars Volta/At The Drive-In guitarist Omar Rodriguez-Lopez's solo project stops by at Hornstull Strand in support of two (!) new albums this year; Un Corazón De Nadie and Saber, Querer, Osar y Callar. Fritz's Corner DJ:s throughout the night.
Saturday September 15: Samling at Hornstull Strand
Swedish psychedelic rock act Samling are back in Stockholm for Saturday's Popaganda club night at Strand and by all accounts they're a great live act (I'm yet to see them live myself). They've just released a new video for the title track of last year's Anna EP, which you can watch here. Support act TBA.
Saturday September 15: Solen at Debaser Slussen
One of Sweden's finest unsigned acts, Solen from Gävle, is opening for side effects at Debaser Slussen and you should make your way there to catch one of the finest unknown indie rock acts we've got. It's free before nine as well.
We've previously posted Philadelphia "sex pop" act Night Panther's two released tracks (so far); "Snudge" and "Fever" - and both are wonderful. Last week Yours Truly premiered their cover of Grizzly Bear's "Two Weeks" and they certainly make it their own - if didn't know it before I wouldn't suspect that it was a Grizzly Bear cover, but it all really makes sense when you listen. The cover features guest vocals from Yohsuke Araki. Check it out below.
Centro-matic leader Will Johnson is set to release his new solo album Scorpion, his third full-length, on September 11 via Undertow Music Collective and back in July we posted lead track "You Will Be Here, Mine". Now the video for the track (excellent) track has been unveiled as well, and you can watch it below. It's pretty much Johnson being driven around in what looks like a golf car while singing.
Brooklyn indie rock act Cymbals Eat Guitars released their excellent second LP Lenses Alien last year and now they've unveiled a brand new track titled "Hawk Highway". The track is as good as you'd expect and like Lenses Alien it's produced by John Agnello, but so far there's no word on whether it's a stand-alone track or from a new album, EP or something else. Check it out below.
