MP3: Paul Westerberg - "My Road Now"


Former Replacements leader Paul Westerberg's shared a brand new solo track titled "My Road Now" without warning. It's his first new track since 2009 and it's a great one, featuring just Westerberg and his piano. Check it out below.

Wilco released their latest album The Whole Love last year and earlier this week they unveiled a new video for "Sunloathe". The video was made by Peter Glantz and Nathaniel Murphy - watch it below.

Listen: Woods - "Give Your Light Off"


Woods' released their excellent new LP Bend Beyond earlier this week via Woodsist and back in August they released a 7" for lead single "Cali In A Cup". The b-side on that 7" was a non-album track titled "Give Your Light Off" and it's finally made it's way onto the Woodsist Soundcloud page. Give it a listen below.

Watch: Graveyard - "Goliath" (official video)


Swedish hard rock act Graveyard unveiled "Goliath" a couple of weeks back and it's the first single taken from their upcoming third LP Lights Out, which is due on Stranded/Nuclear Blast on October 24 in Sweden,  October 26 in the rest of Europe and November 6 in North America. Today the video for "Goliath" was unveiled as well and you can catch Graveyard live at Debaser Medis in Stockholm on November 23 (details here). Watch the "Goliath" video below.

Listen: Chelsea Wolfe - "Appalachia"


Sacramento singer-songwriter Chelsea Wolfe will release her third record Unknown Rooms: A Collection Of Acoustic Songs on October 16 via Sargent House, following last year's Ἀποκάλυψις (Apokalypsis/Apocalypse). Ahead of the release she's shared "Appalachia" which you can listen to below.

Bristol act Idles released their debut EP Welcome in early August and we've previously seen the videos for "Germany" and "26/27". Yesterday Idles released their latest video for EP closer "Two Tone", and the band shot and edited it themselves. Watch it below.

Listen: Jason Molina - "Heart My Heart"


Magnolia Electric Co. leader Jason Molina took a break from music back in 2009 due to health issues but in May he posted a note that said he was doing better and back working on music. Before his break he recorded eight songs that will be released next week as a 10" mini-album titled Autumn Bird Songs via Graveface Records. Listen to the opening track "Heart My Heart"

Listen: Teen Daze - "Garden 2"


Teen Daze isn't one for keeping things slow. He released his debut LP All Of Us, Together via Lefse Records in May and on November 6 Lefse will release the follow-up; The Inner Mansions. The Inner Mansions was announced less than twenty days ago but Teen Daze has already released three tracks from it; "New Life", "Union" which features Frankie Rose and "Garden 2" which was unveiled today. World Tour's brilliant single "Forever Tonight" was unveiled back in June and it's been a steady favourite around here since. Now we've also got a video for the track; it's filled with beautiful shots of World Tour's scenic Funäsdalen home. Watch it below.

Listen: Crushed Beaks - "Breakdown"



It's been a few months since we last heard from London duo Crushed Beaks (back in July with the video for "Grim" to be precise) but now they're back with a brand new single called "Breakdown, and hey, it's pretty damn good. "Breakdown" will be released on November 5 via London's ASL Records but you can listen to it below right now.

Watch: Tame Impala - "Elephant" (official video)


Tame Impala unveiled "Elephant", the lead single to their forthcoming second LP Lonerism, in late July and today they shared the video for the track as well. The video is, as expected, a psychedelic affair and you can watch it below.

Listen: Chad Valley - "Fall 4 U" (feat. Glasser) (Lissvik remix)


Almost a month ago now we posted Chad Valley's brilliant first track from his upcoming debut LP Young Hunger"Fall 4 U", which features Glasser. Today Gorilla vs. Bear premiered a remix of the track by none other than former Studio member and master remixer Dan Lissvik. Give it a listen below, it's all you could've wanted.

MP3: Faye - "Mad Dog"


As I'm sure you know we're big fans of rising Swedish pop songstress Faye here at BNF, and both her previous singles, "Water Against The Rocks" and "Come To Me", are among the best released this year. Now she's back with a new song "Mad Dog" prior to the release of her next proper single "Breathe Out" - which is due in October via Best Fit Recordings/Hybris. As usual it's produced by Stockholm production duo Montauk. Give it a listen below.

Former Twin Shadow bassist Rush Midnight is set to release his debut EP +1, which is partly produced by Twin Shadow, via Cascine on October 30. Last night the first track from +1 was unveiled; the smooth "The Night Was Young Enough" and you can watch the video for it below.

Orlando act Levek's debut LP Look A Little Closer has been preceded by three very good tracks and now the full album is finally available for streaming. You can listen to the album below, via The Hype Machine, prior to it's release next week via Lefse Records.

Portland-based folk rock act Balto just released their new EP Monuments, the follow-up to last year's debut LP October's Road, and like pre-release single "Smokestacks" it's an excellent release. Manchester's PINS are set to release their debut EP LUVU4LYF via Bella Union on October 1 on 10" vinyl. We've previously heard the title track of the EP and today the four-piece unveiled the video for it as well. Brilliant as ever. Watch the Sing J Lee-directed clip below.

Watch: Woodlands - "Housebuilding" (official video)


Swedish indie trio Woodlands consists of Sara Wilson, Marcus Holmberg and Niclas Korssell and they're set to release their debut LP Woodlands on October 31 via INGRID (that's the label run by Peter Bjorn & John, Lykke Li, Miike Snow etc). Back in August they released the first track from the album; "Housebuilding", an great '70s inspired folk rock track with a fair bit of psychedelia thrown in.

Next Wednesday they'll be playing a free gig at Lilla Hotellbaren in Stockholm, hosted by Fritz's Corner. Check out the details here, and watch the video for "Housebuilding" below.

Barcelona's John Talabot released his excellent debut LP ƒin earlier this year and now he's set to open for The xx. In connection to this Talabot has a new 7" out, available only on his tour, with two previously unreleased tracks; "Mai Mes" and "Tragedial". Thankfully you can stream both of them below as well.
