MP3: Gum - "You're Joking" (Evans The Death cover)


Last night Gum's upcoming EP Seventeen was made available for listening (it's really good so go give it a listen). Today we've got another new track from Gum although this is a one-off cover of Evans The Death' "You're Joking" for Art Is Hard Records' Biweekly 5" Pizza Club.

Watch: Amateur Best - "Ready For The Good Life" (official video)


Amateur Best, aka Joe Flory, recently signed to Double Denim to release his upcoming 7" "Ready For The Good Life" / "Walk In Three", which is due next week. We could listen to the A-side back in August and yesterday the video for it was unveiled as well. The video is directed by Jonas Langfeldt and the track itself is great, as you'll already know if you gave it a listen back in August. Watch the video below.

Listen: Keel Her - "Riot Grrrl"


Brighton lo-fi pop act Keel Her, or Rose Keeler-Schäffeler as she's really called, will be releasing her first studio recorded single on December 3 via Critical Heights. The 7" will include "Riot Grrrl" and the b-side "You Would Be So Grossed Out If I Did That" and it was recorded at Tye Die Tapes, the first time she's recorded in a proper studio. Grizzly Bear released their latest record Shields earlier this month and one of the absolute best tracks on it is "Yet Again", which was released as a pre-album single back in August. Now it's received a video, directed by Emily Kai Block and produced by The Creators Project. Watch it below.

Watch: Foxes - "Echo" (official video)


London-based pop songstress Foxes, aka Louisa Rose Allen, just released her new video for "Echo", which is due in November via Sign Of The Times. It's a brilliant pop song, and the video chronicles Allen's failed relationship with a crash test dummy. Watch it below.

Watch: Philco Fiction - "Help!" (official video)


The brilliant Norwegian pop act Philco Fiction released their debut LP Take It Personal last year in Norway last year and earlier this year it was released internationally as well via Something In Construction. On October 22 the deluxe edition of the LP will arrive, again via SIC, and in anticipation of the release Philco Fiction have shared a new video for Take It Personal opener "Help!". Watch it below.

Watch: Young Unknowns - "Target Practice" (official video)


Back in early July we posted rising Brooklyn indie pop act Young Unknowns' debut single "Target Practice" and since then they've been gathering quite a bit of attention. They've unveiled their second single "Far Enough" and yesterday the video for "Target Practice" was released as well. Watch the video for "Target Practice" and listen to "Far Enough" below.

Last year Gardens & Villa released their self-titled LP via Secretly Canadian and they're still touring behind it. Now they've offered up a cover versions of The Animal's sixties classic "We Gotta Get Out Of This Place", which premiered on RCRD LBL a few days ago. Check it out below.

Sun Airway will release their second LP Soft Fall next week via Dead Oceans and now they've unveiled a another track from the album; "Black Noise", following lead single "Close". Give "Black Noise" a listen below.

A couple of weeks back Fear Of Men unveiled their upcoming single "Mosaic", which is due for release on October 15 via Too Pure Records, and it's absolutely brilliant. Today they shared the b-side as well; "Your Side", which is just as good. Give it a listen below.

Watch: Neil Young & Crazy Horse - "Walk Like A Giant" (official video)


Neil Young & Crazy Horse will be releasing their new double album Psychedelic Pill on October 30, the second Neil Young & Crazy Horse LP of the year following Americana. Check out the video for "Walk Like A Giant" below, it's sounding very promising.

Listen: Dinosaur Jr. - "Pierce The Morning Rain"


Dinosaur Jr. released their new album I Bet On Sky last week via Jagjaguwar, their third record since reuniting, and we've previously offered you lead single "Watch The Corners". Now J Mascis and co. have announced that "Pierce The Morning Rain" will be the second single to be taken from the album, with a release scheduled for November 6, and you listen to it below. Like "Watch The Corners", it's one of the best from I Bet On Sky with a vintage Dinosaur Jr. feel to it.

MP3: Tame Impala - "Elephant" (Canyons Wooly Mammoth remix)


Tame Impala's Lonerism is one of the most exciting records to be released in the coming month - it's due on October 8 in the UK/Europe, October 5 in Australia and on October 9 in the US via Modular. We've previously heard "Apocalypse Dreams" as well as lead single "Elephant" and Todd Rundgren's excellent remix of it. Yesterday a second remix of "Elephant" was unveiled - this time by Tame Impala collaborators Canyons. Check it out below.

Listen: Jason Molina - "The Harvest Law"


Last week the new music from Jason Molina was released in the form of a new track titled "Heart My Heart", which is taken from his new 10" mini-LP Autumn Birds Songs. Autumn Bird Songs was released yesterday via Graveface Records and now we've also got another track available for listening. Check out "The Harvest Law" below.

Listen: Teen Daze - "Spirit"


As previously stated Canadian producer Teen Daze is one insanely productive artist. After releasing his debut LP All Of Us, Together in May he's set to release its follow-up The Inner Mansions on November 6 via Lefse Records and last night he unveiled a fourth track from it. This one follows "New Life", the Frankie Rose-featuring "Union" and "Garden 2", which was unveiled a week ago. Give it a listen below.

Savages will release their debut EP, a live one titled I Am Here, digitally on Sunday and physically on October 8 via Pop Noire. Today a brand new track titled "City's Full", recorded in Nottingham this summer and taken from the EP, was revealed. Give it a listen below.

Toronto balearic act Southern Shores will release their New World EP via Cascine next week. We've already offered you "New Love" and now the full EP is available for listening. It's pretty brilliant so you really should give it a listen.

Dum Dum Girls are releasing their new EP End Of Daze today, via Sub Pop, and back in August we posted the first single from it; "Lord Knows". Listen: 'king DJ - "Hold Me Down"


'king DJ, aka the new project from Brown Brogues' Mark Vernon, is releasing its debut cassette EP on Haus of Pins on October 24. We've previously heard "Uve Gon And Dun It (Live)" and today a second track was unveiled; the opener "Hold Me Down". The third track on the EP is a cover of Elliott Smith's "Twilight". Interview: Sleepy Sun


This Saturday Sleepy Sun will play at Hornstull Strand here in Stockholm together with Japandroids, at a club night hosted by What We Do Is Secret and Fritz’s Corner (details here). Earlier this year Sleepy Sun released their third LP Spine Hits, their strongest one so far, and a couple of weeks back, in early September we called up Sleep Sun frontman Bret Constantino to chat about their European tour, musical influences, California and more.

Thee Oh Sees released their latest record Putrifiers II earlier this month but we've already got new material from them. This one's titled "Wait Let's Go" and is one the poppier side of things. Listen: Thee Attacks - "Rock Bottom"


Danish garage rock act Thee Attacks are releasing their second LP Dirty Sheets via Crunchy Frog tomorrow and back in July we posted the first track from the album; "So Cold". Now a second one is available; the blues inspired "Rock Bottom", which somehow reminds me of The Black Crowes. Check it out below.
