Almost a month ago we posted Crash & The 'Coots' "Emily (hehe)", taken from their debut EP John Coles Park - the first release from London's Heart Throb Records. Now the label have unveiled their second release; the debut EP from Boston-based duo Silkies. The EP will be titled Like One and they've so far released two tracks from it; the title track and "Red". Listen to "Red" below and check out "Like One" over at Portals.
How To Dress Well's Total Loss has been something of a surprise favourite for me this year. Prior to the release of the LP last month I hadn't hear anything from HTDW, aka Tom Krell, but it blew me away and has been in constant rotation since. For the bonus LP edition of Total Loss Krell includes a bonus 7" which contains a cover of Robbie Basho's "Blue Crystal Fire", originally released in 1978 on the record Visions Of The Country. It's a beautiful track, but it makes complete sense that it was left off Total Loss as it doesn't fit stylistically. Listen to/download it below.
Chad Valley's debut LP Young Hunger is due on October 30 via Cascine and yesterday we gave you the alternate version of "Fathering/Mothering" and today "Tell All Your Friends" premiered on Dummy. "Tell Your Friends" is brilliant as expected, just like lead single "Fall 4 U". Give "Tell All Your Friends" a listen below.
Mac DeMarco is set to release his debut LP 2 via the excellent Captured Tracks (so far this year they've releaesd DIIV's Oshin, Holograms' debut LP, Wild Nothing's Nocturne + more). Yesterday he unveiled a new track from the LP titled "Ode To Viceroy" and it's all kinds of good. "Ode To Viceroy" is the third track to be released from 2 but as we've been a bit slow on getting around to actually listening and blogging about Mac DeMarco all three available tracks are included below. Enjoy.
London act Echo Lake's excellent debut LP Wild Peace was released in June via No Pain In Pop/Slumberland Records and now they've shared a new video for their single "Another Day", taken from Wild Peace. Watch it below.

Memory Tapes, aka Dayve Hawk, prior to hearing his brilliant new single "Sheila" was the great Memory Tapes remix of Air France's "It Feels Good To Be Around You" and I'm certainly even more intrigued now. "Sheila" is taken from Memory Tapes' upcoming LP Grace/Confusion which is due on December 4 via Carpark Records. Give it a listen below, plus grab your very own mp3 of the track.
Chad Valley is set to release his debut full-length Young Hunger via Cascine on October 30 via Cascine and we've previously posted lead single "Fall 4 U", which features Glasser, as well as the brilliant remix of the track by Dan Lissvik. Today Rolling Stone premiered a second track from the album; "Fathering/Mothering", which features Harry's Gym vocalist Anne Lise Frøkedal, or rather it's an alternate version compared to the album version. No worries, it's just as good as "Fall 4 U" (and so is the rest of the album so keep you eyes and ears peeled for more news).
Toronto act Southern Shores released their new EP excellent New World via Cascine yesterday and back in August "New Love", the first track from the EP, was unveiled. In March last year we posted Athens, Georgia folk act Futurebirds' cover of Chris Isaak's 1989 hit "Wicked Game" and here comes another cover of the same song, a slightly more garage-y and psychedelic one. This one's courtesy of Leamington Spa garage duo Coves, who released their great debut EP Cast No Shadow earlier this year via Cross Keys Records, which includes "No Ladder" that we posted in mid-July. Watch the video for their cover as well as download it below.
We've previously covered Swedish-Australian sister-duo Saint Lou Lou and their brilliant debut single "Maybe You" a few times, and here we go again. Blitzen Trapper frontman Eric Earley has covered The Band's classic "Up On Cripple Creek", taken from The Band's self-titled 1969 LP, for Deschutes Brewery's River Recordings series - where artists cover tracks live next to the Deschutes River to benefit "the Deschutes River Conservancy’s work to preserve the river and its watershed". Listen to and download the cover below, or watch the video, and if you've got some money to spare you can donate to the cause when downloading.

Toronto-based act DIANA released their excellent track "Born Again" a couple of months back, but I didn't hear it until later on so it never got a post on here. Now I've got an excellent excuse though, as "Born Again" is set to be released as a 12" vinyl single, including a remix of the track, via Gorilla vs. Bear's Forest Family Records. The 12" is "coming soon" but in the meantime you should just listen to track - check it out below.

Yesterday another track from the EP was made available, and it's one that won't be on the full-lenght - listen to and download "The Stranger" below.
Manchester four-piece PINS is one of the most exciting acts around at the moment at yesterday they finally released their debut EP LuvU4Lyf following a cassette single earlier this year as well as sharing the title track of the EP, "LuvU4Lyf" in early September. The EP definitely makes good on the promise of the title track and it's a obligatory listen. Check it out below, via NME.
A couple of weeks back we posted September Girls' brilliant new single "Green Eyed", which is due for release on October 22 via Soft Power Records. Today the b-side for "Green Eyed", "Danny Wood", was made available for listening as well. Check it out below.

L.A. garage rocker King Tuff released his second LP, titled simply King Tuff, via Sub Pop earlier this year and now he's back with a 7" single featuring two brand new tracks, due on Sub Pop next week. Brooklyn rapper EL-P has had a pretty good year so far; he released the excellent Cancer For Cure via Fat Possum in May as well as produced Killer Mike’s acclaimed R.A.P. Music. On Thursday EL-P is stopping by Lilla Hotellbaren in Stockholm, and it’s both at a small venue and 100% free. Compulsory attendance for any fan of hip-hop.

Ty Segall's definitely going for the "most productive artist in rock" award this year with three full-lengths and a whole bunch of other stuff going on. The latest one is a 7" on Nashville's Dead where he collaborates with Seth Sutton of Useless Eaters on the A-side "I Hate The Kids" and D. Watusi's Dillon Watson on the B-side, a cover of Brian Eno's "Needles In The Camel's Eye". Listen to both tracks below.
